Foraging: From forest to fork
Learn how to forage edible goodies in wild Exmoor
Foraging is a fabulous family adventure, whether you’re an aspiring survival expert, nature enthusiast or just curious about what grows in the wild. The walk will take you to the best spots for foraging to ensure you will leave being able to identify and prepare edible plants, from fruits to fungi.
Our foraging experience can be a half or full-day walk, the tour organisers Malcolm and Jennie are flexible so different arrangements can be made. All events must be pre-booked at least 24 hours before (or 48 hours if you book a food option) so that the hosts can manage numbers, discuss parking, weather, etc.
A half-day foraging safari walk will cost £90.00 for up to four people, and then £15 for any additional members. A full day foraging safari walk will cost £150.00 for up to four people, then £25 per extra person. As with all our third-party experiences, please do book and pay direct for this activity.
If you want to book food with your trip, Malcolm and Jennie have a variety of options available. A barbeque would include home reared roast lamb cooked with Moroccan spices and served with salad and Mediterranean couscous, and a choice of homemade desserts (or Exford pork sausages and lamb burgers with minted yoghurt dressing in a floury bap) at £20.00 per person. If you want to split up your walk with a pub lunch, please pay for this at the bar. A homemade picnic is available for £10.00 per person.
To book, please call them on 01643 831759.
Please let the organiser know you are staying with us when booking. You will need to book with and pay the organiser direct as your service is supplied by them. All of these activities are provided by the third-party supplier, not by us, and where relevant you are covered by the supplier’s insurance.
