Want to try something different such as clay shooting or archery lessons on your holiday with us?
Our partner Matthew and his team at Birds Hill Days will customise a half or full-day session for your group. It’s a great way to enjoy beautiful Exmoor and try a new activity at the same time. Perfect for families and friends, this activity is very popular, so we advise booking before you arrive.
Clay shooting and archery lessons – special guest packages
Your instructor will tailor the shoot to your party, whether novice or expert. They offer one-to-one support for all. Beginners will have the satisfaction of hitting some pigeon clay targets by the end of the session, we promise!
Birds Hill Days will create special packages for guests staying at our cottages. Whether you want clay pigeon shooting lessons, to learn archery, or both, share your goals with Matthew and his team. They will prepare a customised package for you.
Birds Hill Days will provide suitable guns and ammunition.
Kids – learn archery and take clay pigeon shooting lessons
Everyone is welcome, including children from 10 years of age for clay shooting and seven for archery.

Around a two-hour clay shooting session is £50 per person.
Archery classes are £25 per person.
Deposit applies. There is a minimum group size of six for archery and four for shooting. Clay shooting is an all-weather activity, but archery is dependent on conditions on the day.
